NORTHERN SOUL 45
IDLE FEW
BLUE BOOK 1
(196?)
Well, here's the story... this is my very last copy of the Idle Few 45. Even living in Indianapolis, where the band is from, I've only found 3 copies in the 30 years that I've been collecting local records The record label, and vinyl look like they've been around the block, so to speak, as visually the vinyl looks to be just G/VG at most, but yet it plays MUCH BETTER than it looks! The record is not without a couple of light pops and ticks along the way, and that being said, the audio sample of "People That's Why" is here for you to listen to in it's entirety, straight from this very 45 you are bidding on (as shown in the picture) with no alteration to the sound whatsoever as played on my Technics SL-1500 turntable using a Sumiko Blue Point cartridge tracking at 2 grams. In other words, what you hear is the absolute true sound coming out of the grooves! So give it a listen and you be the judge. I believe this scarce northern soul favorite still has plenty of muscle left in the grooves to move the crowd!
