Die Reinheit und Kraft ihrer Stimme grenzt an Wunder – die legendäre schottische Chanteuse, viermal allein bei den British Jazz Awards als "best female singer" ausgezeichnet, war zum Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme immerhin 73! Das Album war eine persönliche Angelegenheit für sie: Lieder, die sie unbedingt noch aufnehmen wollte, und, wie sie selbst sagt: "I'm not getting any younger." Also traf sie sich mit ihrem alten Freund Graeme Clark (Wet Wet Wet) in dessen Studio und nahm mit ihm an Gitarre, Bass und Schlgzeug, Paul Harrison (Klavier, Arrangements), Seonaid Aitken (Violine) und Christoff Fourie (Cello) diese Songs auf, deren Auswahl für eine Jazz-Sängerin nicht selbstverständlich ist: Neben Joni Mitchells Titeltrack wären da etwa Billy Joels "And So It Goes", Richard Thompsons "The Dimming Of The Day", der John Berry-Hit "If I Had Any Prise Left All", oder Don Henleys "Talking To The Moon". Repertoire aus Pop, Folk und Country prägt dieses Album, Kidds Deutungen dieser Songs sind freilich absolut souverän. – Ursprünglich nur im Selbstverlag als Bandcamp-Stream veröffentlicht, kümmerte sich nun erferulicherweise das US-Edel-Label Impex um physische Veröffentlichung als SACD und HQ-LP, gemastert von Kevin Gray!
