Description
This is a fine copy from a 1999 reissue on Akarma of a rare acetate-only LP recorded for the All-American label in 1968-69 and credited to SoCal group Indescribably Delicious. Versions of the confusing history of this disc and the group are readily available through a Google search. The gist of them is that the credited group appear on just three of the tracks, two of which were released as a single the previous year, and that the rest feature just the group's lead singer with support probably from members of label mates the Strawberry Alarm Clock and Big Brother. In any event, the disc contains twelve short tracks ranging from pop to fuzz-psych (the album closer, "The World Is Ended Right Now," is a standout among the latter). It is notable for including mellotron on a few tracks. The same material was released several years earlier on the Belgian Fanny label, though with a different track order and some different song titles. The textured jacket is close to pristine with a little corner creasing (M-). The disc is clean, and plays with minimal surface noise (not counting a little light surface noise from source disc) (M-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
