IRON MAIDEN – The Italian Cheese Shop - performed in ITALY, Arma di Taggia August 22nd 1984 during World Slavery Tour

2LP with POSTER

TITLE: The Italian Cheese Shop

Matrix: POTG 56

PERFORMANCE: Recorded Live in Italy, Ex Caserma Revelli, Arma di Taggia, August 22nd  1984, Good Audience Recording.

During the World Slavery Tour, Bruce Dickinson became fed up with the attitude of certain audiences and re-wrote the lyrics to 22 Acacia Avenue, involving multiple instances of cheese.

This Show features the infamous “cheese shop incident” where Bruce modifies the lyrics of ‘22 Acacia Avenue’ and sings about cheese after a Monty Python sketch. He does the same on ‘Run to the Hills’ – singing “ run to the cheese” – and on “Iron Maiden”.

All seems to stem from the fact that he introduces ‘Halloweed by the Name’ and ‘22 Acacia Avenue’ and gets ‘cheesed off’ by making such mistakes.

The whole thing is actually quite hilarious and makes this Performance unique!
