Description

After recording "Doncha Know" and "Peggy Sue Got Married" with the Crickets in 1960 David returned from California to his home in Lubbock, Texas to finish his las two years of high School at Monterey High. In April 1962 prior to graduation David flew to Nashville where he stayed with Roy Orbison at his house and recorded Roy's song "Don't Talk About Her" at RCA Studio B.  He also recorded another Orbison song "I've Had My Moments" and sent them off to the publishers where the powers that be at Candix renamed "Don't Talk About Her" to "If You Can't Say Something Nice".  Subsequent releases came out on the Joed Label as Joed 114.  Same song.  This record is the original pressing on the Candix label.  It is in near mint condition and is one of rock and roll's great historical recordings.
