Description
IMPULSE AS66: JOHN COLTRANE QUARTET 'Crescent'
An album from Coltrane's classic Impulse period, issued in 1964, with the wellknown quartet of Coltrane/Tyner/Garrison and Elvin Jones. This is a first ABC-Paramount/Impulse stereo promo pressing with orange/black label design. It has a gatefold cover.
Side 1 'Crescent'/'Wise One'/'Bessie's Blues'
Side 2 'Lonnie's Lament'/'The Drum Thing'
CONDITION/DESCRIPTION: The disc is E (VG+) with some light scuffs/scratches and some light, general groove wear, visible under a bright 'grading' light. These have little affect on the playing. The cover is EtoE+ (VG+toVG++), with very slight corner damage, and some surface rubbing/scratching. Inside the gatefold there is a small amount of surface dirt/staining along the top of both sides.
