Inspiral Carpets - S/T 2014 Album - Cherry Red - Vinyl - RARE
Inspiral Carpets last (so far) and 5th studio album and first with Stephen Holt (not Tom Hingley) back on vocals……
This is getting pretty scarce on vinyl now….
Condition wise it’s somewhere around the VG+ to EX condition. Check out the photos and the below further description to make your own mind up regarding condition grading.
Vinyl wise I’ve played it maybe 4 times over the years. It doesn’t however look like it. Cherry Red vinyl around this era is notoriously  marked straight out the sleeve. It sounds nice and punchy and surface noise is pretty minimal but has the look of a record that wasn’t pressed with care at the plant with many light hairlines, some marks etc. I have found other cherry red releases from this era to be the same (Luke Haines, The Fall etc). Ironically I’m selling it because I decided to buy a new and sealed one when I eventually sourced one at great cost. Maybe not totally surprisingly the vinyl in that copy (new and sealed) is the same, if not worse, than this one.
Sleeve wise it was in a shop and suffered from the usual shop wear when they’ve been in the racks a bit. I’ve tried to photo the creases/bends for you to see. There’s a couple of sticker removal marks (front/rear), these are on the shrink not the actual sleeve.
There we go. Hopefully not talked myself out of selling it too much just want people to understand as best as possible the condition (unlike a lot of sellers). It’s getting hard to find now and a really good album comparable to the earlier stuff. Back on the road this year too touring again…
