(Jackie Taylor - occasionally credited as Johnny Taylor - plays a most thrilling organ-cut to one of reggae's eternal killer riddims...Studio One's "Drum Song"...later becoming the foundation of countless heavy tunes...including Ronnie Davis' killer vocal "Jah Jah Jahoviah" or the Rebels' "Rhodesia"...here we have what I&I'd call extremely rare cut to that riddim...real mystic sounds...as presented by Deadly Dragon Sound podcast...comes as original press on the Portland-label from JA...must be from around 1977/78...as I&I'd say...watch

WAX'N'SOUND: ex / vg+, both sides show very light wear, light marks, a very few light surface scratches (mostly on the B-side), very shiny, plays killer style all the while w/ heavyweight punch + excellent, clear sound, there's some light occasional crackle on the B-side to be expected!
LABEL: labels show very light general wear only, NO writings/markings, NO damages, original title stamped over "Midnight Organ" - watch the scan, please!

Something 'bout Sound + Vision: We shouldn't rely on visual appearance alone (as pretty looks isn’t all as they say) - therefore these records are graded after their visual appearance and their sound quality! I personally prefer a record with crackling but strong sound + punch to one playing clean but with surface noise from the pressing (as we find with re-pressed discs - too - often).
Grading records is a very subjective thing but I try hard to be objective as a human being can be (yes indeed, this seller is a human being). THIS IS MY VINYL GRADING SCALE: EX (= really great - EX means "excellent", really...) VG (= nice, if you don't have an excellent one - by the way: VG means "very good"...) G (= playable, but you might find a better one - G means "good", but this term may be a bit euphemistic to reggae-vinyl-novices. Be realistic: a record graded G doesn't jump nor stick, but that's the best I can say about it...) P (= just a collection-filler for the hard-edged + hardest-boiled collectors + selectors + all the rudegals out there - P stands for "poor", yunno...)
