A UK stereo album in original condition, featuring:

1. James Taylors original 1968 UK first issue Apple records, ‘debut’ album, LP,

2. earliest engraved ‘mother / stampers’ each side of the record being, ‘1G / 1G’,

3. original first issue 1968 UK record matrix of: SAPCOR 3 A – 1 and SAPCOR 3 B – 1,

4. original first issue 1968 UK record labels, featuring the text, ‘Sold in UK’, etc,

5. original first issue 1968 UK ‘dark green’ record label on side one,

6. original first issue 1968 UK, ‘yellow’ front text, laminated gate fold, ‘flip back’ sleeve made of a noticeable ‘thicker, heavier’ card,

7. printed on the record label on side two, track six, it reads, ‘Blues is just a bad dream’, but printed on the sleeve it reads, ‘The blues is just a bad dream’,

8. comes with its original first issue 1968 UK ‘Apple’ black inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition. The front and rear of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in near very good condition, it has some of the usual wear and tear to the top and bottom and some colour and some laminate loss. The spines text appears on the opposite side edge, this edge is in very good++ condition and all of the text is clear to read. An original ‘gate fold’, ‘flip back’, ie ‘fold over edge’ sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is some slight signs of ageing to the inside of the ‘gate fold’ sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in ‘good’ condition and is the original period 1968 UK ‘Apple’ black’ inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve. There are two 60mm tears around the ‘die cut hole’ which have been neatly repaired from the inside with sellotape and there is a split to the bottom edge and a split to one of the side edges.

THE RECORD: side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in excellent condition. The record is made from the original quality 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. The record has remained dark and glossy.

The records engraved ‘matrix’ is: SAPCOR 3 A – 1 and SAPCOR 3 B – 1,

The records engraved ‘mother / stampers’ are: ‘1 G’ and ‘1 G’, the earliest ‘mothers / stampers’ that you can get’.

THE AUDIO: each side plays excellent. Each side plays with some light ‘crackle’ heard here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full loud, powerful period stereo sound.

THE RECORD LABELS: side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in excellent condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVE, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
