Description

Original deep-groove pressing of Jazz At the Philharmonic, Volume 16 on the cream-colored trumpeter labels of Clef MG VOL. 16. The playing surfaces of the three 12" LPs - all on heavy vinyl - are in near-new condition: parts 3-6 appear to be mint; perhaps played once. The 10" LP Concert Blues is mint. There is also a folio of thirteen 8" x 10" photo prints by Herman Leonard, Phil Stern and others - all in mint condition, including the envelope. The laminated cover artwork is by David Stone Martin: the box is remarkable, with no split corners or seams; light lettering in upper left corner of the front slick. Overall, the box and its contents are in extraordinary condition. Personnel includes Flip Phillips, Benny Carter, Ben Webster, and Roy Eldridge.
