Description

This is an auction for a stunning collection of Jazz / Big Band / & Swing.

This is without doubt my finest find to date. After receiveing a call to look at some Jazz records I visited a lady who had kept this colllection for 50 years. What I found truly amazed me, 8 original boxes, with 1950s stamps, these boxes were sent by Agate & Co Ltd who were a Record & Gramophone supplier based in Oxford Street and Charing Cross Road.

Inside these boxes were MINT and as Near Mint as possible 1950s records. All LPs and 10", with most having no sign of having ever been played, the few that had signs of being played have one or two tiny spider spindle marks on the label's only. The sleeve's are as new with no signs of ageing what so ever. She went on to explain that she had a standing order with Agate Record shop but only liked one or two of the artists records they actually sent her, thus she did not play them and stored them away to this day.

So here is your chance to own a once in a lifetime record collection with every piece being a true collectors item. As you will see many are booked in Record Collector 2006 up to 60 pounds a piece and all the records, bearing in mind the condition and age are sellable in their own right.

To the list, I will give all the relevant details for each record including condition, this will be either M for mint or NM for near mint. Just to clarify this, all records graded at MINT will have no signs of having ever been played, the labels and vinyl will be flawless and as new even under the closest of examinations. The sleeve's will be as new with no discolouring- buffing- spotting- creases or any other sign of being handled. The few records that fall below the grade of MINT will have only a few spider spindle marks to the label, the sleeve will have either a touch of buffing to the very corners or an equally very minor fault. Any record that does fall below this grade will have all and any faults listed, but as stated I can assure you that every piece of vinyl through out this collection is immaculate and is as new. Record Collector 2006 grading guide would put every single piece of vinyl at MINT. All records have their original inners that are as new.

Any questions please Email, I will not be splitting this collection or selling any record individually despite the obvious fact that many of these records would sell for very large amounts in Mint. We specialise in supplying complete top quality collections for sale on Ebay thus allowing you the purchaser plenty of scope for profits when splitting and selling the collection yourself, But I would truly recommend this one being kept complete as it will gain value year on year and must be one of the finest of it's kind in this country.
