Here's How it was done:

Using only the original analog master tapes, of  all of the titles at AcousTech Mastering, which features a pure Class-A disc-cutting system. AcousTech is located at Record Technology, Inc. the plant where the vinyl was pressed. It is a tremendous sonic advantage to have the pressing plant plating department & mastering room in the same facility as Steve & Kevin could cut a lacquer and plated immediately. This prevents the degradation of the grooves in a lacquer which is very fragile to quick deterioration.

And of course cutting at 45 speed is the audiophile choice for the highes quality. A 45-RPM record is sonically superior to a 33 1/3 variety because of a 35 percent reduction of groove curvature compared to a 33 1/3 cut.. It means that while you can't fit as much music into a 45, the undukations of the groove that your cartridge has to track are stretched over a longer distance. For these reissues, the music was displaced onto four sides, meaning each side contains about 10 minutes of music.

This is the ultimate reissues. The only way you'll get closer to this classic music is to listen to the master tapes or have been in the studio with the artist originally during the actual session.

You should never pass up the opportunity to upgrade your collection. They're each very limited in their pressings and disappear with extraordinary quickness from the vinyl market. This causes prices to skyrocket because once they are gone, they are gone forever! Don't second-guess yourself with this chance to upgrade your collection  because before you know it, the opportunity will have passed forever.

ELLA FITZGERALD & OSCAR PETERSON Sealed 45 SPEED LP Set LIMITED TO 1000 PIECES -

For this Pablo set, Ella Fitzgerald is heard on half of the program in duets with pianist Oscar Peterson and for the remainder in trios with Peterson and bassist Ray Brown. In general the performances are memorable (particularly "How Long Has This Been Going On," "More than You Know," "Midnight Sun" and "April in Paris") with the emphasis on ballads. Although her voice had slipped a little by this time, the results are still rewarding and swinging.

The very fact that America's biggest jazz label called one of their albums quite simply Ella and Louis indicates that we are talking about something very special here. And surely enough has been said - "Satchmo" and the grande dame of jazz certainly need no further introduction. In the '50s just the mere mention of their forenames was enough to light up the eyes of jazz fans.

A glance at the tracklist reveals that tranquility rules the day: wild stomps and improvised scats will neither be sought nor missed. Of prime importance to the jazz ballad is a feeling of 'letting oneself drift' in the inspiration which gushes forth from the minds of genial American songwriters.

This is no contest - for the artists all pursue a common goal with extreme sensitiveness. The background combo, made up of first-class musicians and led by Oscar Peterson, performs with great concentration and almost obtrusive unobtrusiveness. Verve's highly successful producer Norman Granz decided quite deliberately to make the recording in the studio instead of at a live session. And success has verified his judgment, for such vocal jazz knows only gentle tones - but the result is all the more intensive for that.

"The recording quality is stupendously transparent, natural and intimate. Don’t let the age or the “mono-ness” of it fool you into thinking you’re getting moldy sound." - Michael Fremer, .musicangle, Music 8/10, Sound 9/10

"The most delightful jazz vocal recording of all time, now enshrined in 45rpm, 200gm vinyl from Chad Kassem's Quality Record Pressings, and it's a jaw-dropper... Ella and Louis are 3D-palpable; they're in the room, or you're in their room. Ella breathes air; when Pop sings down low, your hair stands on end. A jazz-critic friend likened it to 'an acid trip.'" - Fred Kaplan, Stereophile Magazine, February 2013, p. 67

Ella and Louis. No last names are necessary, and no explanation is needed for why this was a musical match made in jazz heaven.

Ella and Louis Again was recorded a year after the classic Ella and Louis, and it is a triumphant reunion - the level of artistry is just as high, the magic just as potent. With stellar support from the Oscar Peterson Trio and drummer Louie Bellson, and a repertoire that digs deep into the Great American Songbook, these two masters offer a textbook example of how this music should be sung-and swung.

"There isn't much one can say about an album whose title is Ella And Louis Again. The 'again' obviously means they've already done one album together and beyond that, what can you say about two people like Ella and Louis? I doubt that there's anyone today who loves music, who doesn't know Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. About all that can be pointed out, I suppose, is that we've again selected some of the best product of some of the best songwriters of our age. The backing, with the Oscar Peterson Trio and Louis Bellson substituting for Buddy Rich, remains, as in the first album, quiet, discreet, swinging." - Norman Granz, from the original liner notes of Ella and Louis Again

Dubbed "The First Lady of Song," Ella Fitzgerald was the most popular female jazz singer in the United States for more than half a century. In her lifetime, she won 13 Grammy awards and sold over 40 million albums.

Her voice was flexible, wide-ranging, accurate and ageless. With a vocal range spanning three octaves, she was noted for her purity of tone, impeccable diction, phrasing and intonation, and a "horn-like" improvisational ability, particularly in her scat singing. Fitzgerald was a notable interpreter of the Great American Songbook.

She could sing sultry ballads, sweet jazz and imitate every instrument in an orchestra. She worked with all the jazz greats, from Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Nat King Cole, to Frank Sinatra, Dizzy Gillespie and Benny Goodman. (Or rather, some might say all the jazz greats had the pleasure of working with Ella.)

She performed at top venues all over the world, and packed them to the hilt. Her audiences were as diverse as her vocal range. They were rich and poor, made up of all races, all religions and all nationalities. In fact, many of them had just one binding factor in common - they all loved her.

The First Lady of Song is at her most intensely swinging and graceful level for this session of 14 songs including "Cry Me a River" and "'Round Midnite".

"...a superior representation of the singer as a jazz interpreter. This set is one of her best." - John Tynan, Down Beat, 1962

"These double 45s cut at Sterling Sound use the original tapes, not copies of the original tapes and the clarity and transparency coupled with QRP's drop dead silent pressings are remarkable. The original pre-MGM buyout LP has a pleasingly nostalgic quality and the added warmth produces a bit more room sound, but in my opinion it can't compare to this reissue unless you like hear things through rose-tinted loudspeakers. Elegantly produced, arranged and recorded and easy to recommend..." - Michael Fremer, analogplanet, Music 9/10, Sound 9/10!

Accompanied by Paul Smith, Fitzgerald sings such tunes as I Cried for You, Angel Eyes, My Melancholy Baby, and more!

"...these are all truly classic Verve titles that you simply don't want to miss...most importantly, the sound of these reissues is nothing short of astounding. Particularly the early Billie and Ella mono records are incredible treasures of sonic beauty. I'd definitely ask Santa for the whole set, or, if you want to cherry pick, the most classic titles. Whatever you decide, you owe yourself at least a half dozen!" Winner of a 2012 Positive Feedback Online Writers' Choice Award - Danny Kaey, Positive Feedback Online, November/December 2011

Considered one of Ella's greatest recordings, she's backed on this 1960 release by pianist Paul Smith. Let No Man Write My Epitaph was a 1960 Hollywood movie featuring Fitzgerald. The album hits at a depth of emotional understanding that critics often complained was missing in Ella's reading of jazz lyrics, and once again establishes her as one of the supreme interpreters of the Great American Songbook.

Arranged by Frank DeVol (later bandleader Happy Kyne on Fernwood 2-Night), and enlivened by what the original liner notes described as the "sensitive, poignant saxophone solos of Stan Getz" on four tracks, Like Someone In Love was targeted at "people in love". But its real audience, then as now, was anyone who loves timeless songs impeccably sung. What was timeless in 1957 still is.

ELLA FITZERGERALD FINE & MELLOW AUDIOPHILE 45 RPM LP SET LOW NUMBERED

45 Speed – 2 Sealed LP Set – LOW NUMBERED #140

The formula was simple: surround Ella with a small group of virtuoso musicians who were regulars on the Pablo label for a session where informality prevailed and everyone could "stretch out." Ella is in top form, and the song selection includes many standards that are given fresh interpretations. The version of Monk's "Round Midnight" is not to be missed. And with the whole proceedings captured in audiophile-approved sound, this has to rank as one of the strongest dates of Ella's illustrious career.
