Description
You're bidding for an original first press of the Hendrix classic 'Axis Bold as Love' on the original UK MONO press from 1967. Released on the Track label with the cat number: 612 003 in the gatefold sleeve with internal flip backs, laminated cover and rear, but not laminated inside the gatefold. The matrix numbers are 612 003 A1 and 612 003 B1.
The vinyl is graded VG+, still retaining a lot of the original sheen (especially in the dead wax) for a record of this age and only suffering from a few light paper marks and very minor lines. As you'd expect for a mono LP from this era, the reproduction is tremendous.
Both labels are VG+ both with a little spindle wear, but other than that, no marks or writing or discolouration.
The gatefold is also VG+, showing afew light signs of age but nothing major, the open side of the gatefold is slightly concave, I guess from storage (see pics). There's light rubbing to 2 corners and a little rubbing to the open edge, plus light creases around the sides visible in the laminate when held to the light. However the spine is nice and straight, there's no writing or marks anywhere on the cover and all flip back edges are intact.
