THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE
"Electric Ladyland"
One of the most notorious commercially released Hendrix LP's is without a doubt the 1968 original British TRACK 613-008 gatefold 2LP black label stereo with the infamous "NUDES" cover. If it wasn't for the 3 nude girls who are holding either a picture of Jimi or a copy of "Axis" there is nothing on the outside cover to tell you what this LP is - no title, artist, no spine print, not even a Track Records logo, just a very dark & brooding cover full of naked women. I suppose that's all Jimi needed to see at this point, anyway! The rest of the world declined to use this artwork, most instead opting for some variation of the more familiar US graphics. Years later Japan finally used this cover on a reissue, and it turned up throughout the 80's on UK & Japanese Polydor reissues. But still, the one to have is the 1968 black Track issue.
There are 2 known inside cover variations - one featuring large photos of Noel & Mitch with titles in blue print. The other is this, with smaller Noel & Mitch pix, with white print. The exterior is the same on both, and both date from 1968.
This copy has a damaged bottom left corner tip, appears somewhat 'chewed' possibly, or just worn. It does not infringe on the cover photo. There is a spot in the upper right front cover corner where probably some price or ID sticker has been removed at some point leaving a small rough spot. The lamination on the back, if you turn it to the light properly, exhibits scoring as if someone wrote on a piece of paper with this cover beneath it. Again, this doesn't infringe on the photo with is beneath the lamination, but you can see it plainly when the light reflects at the proper angle.
Other than these defects the cover has slight and typical record storage impression, but no seam splits, no writing, no stickers.
Both LP's are very nice, sides B/C have some slight and purely superficial marks, sides A/D are nicer still, shiny and clean.

Overall a VG+ cover and the LP's vary from VG++ to Near Mint
A moderate minimum bid and a reasonable way to fill an important slot in a Hendrix collection. NO RESERVE!
