Here for auction is a lovely example of the iconic studio album by JIMI HENDRIX titled THE CRY OF LOVE, Catalogue Number 2408 101. This is a 1971 UK STEREO 1st PRESSING on the TRACK RECORD LABEL with a superb 1st issue matt-finish E. J. DAY GATEFOLD SLEEVE. [The matrix numbers are the earliest A//1 and B//1].
The sleeve is in excellent condition.
The vinyl is visually in MINT- condition. The matt black track labels are like new with only 3 or 4 faint spindle traces each side. It is clear that the record has not been played many times. The audio playback is particularly loud-cut and vibrant with exceptional sound quality. Both sides play excellently throughout with no discernable deterioration in sound quality and only a minimum of unwanted noise (just light residual surface sound which is only audible in the quiet sections and does not interfere with the enjoyment of the music in any way). I think that it will be very difficult to find a significantly better-playing copy.
The plain white inner sleeve is also in excellent condition.
PACKAGING & POSTAGE
LPs are posted in purpose-made mailers with plenty of stiffening. Records are packed outside of the outer sleeve in order to prevent seam-splits in transit.
