JOHN MAYALL PLAYS JOHN MAYALL

RECORDED LIVE AT KLOOKS KLEEK !

1965 UK UNBOXED GROOVED DECCA MONO LK-4680.

                                                                          ARL-6711-2A    A-1

                                                                          ARL-6712-1A    A-1

This is a stunning near pristine earliest first mono pressing with ridged decca labels, the mother stamper codes are the earliest possible being A-1 & A-1. This amazing condition original 1965 UK mono issue would be very near impossible to upgrade as it looks MINT- and plays as new with perfect clean and clear sound quality throughout that is free of any surface noise, this album has had just a few very careful plays in 42 years, this is a dream copy of John Mayall's superb very rare UK debut album.

              Side One
              1. Crawling Up A Hill
              2. I Wanna Teach You Everything
              3. When I'm Gone
              4. I Need Your Love
              5. The Hoot Owl
              6. R & B Time, Night Train, Lucille

              Side Two
              1. Crocodile Walk
              2. What's The Matter With You
              3. Doreen
              4. Runaway
              5. Heartache
              6. Chicago Line

Both sides of the thick vinyl are in near immaculate very clean and glossy condition, there are just one or two very hard to see ultra-fine hairlines only, this record looks near brand new and plays faultlessly from beginning to end with perfect clean and clear sound quality that is free of any pops/clicks or surface crackle. This is a real stunning ultra-clean original 1965 first UK MONO pressing of John Mayall's & Bluesbreakers brilliant first album. You will not find a better copy than this as it really is as close to mint as you will ever find. A definite final upgrade that will not disappoint in any way whatsoever.

Both unboxed ridged red mono decca labels are in perfect as new defect free condition, there are no traces of play at all and the spindle holes are sharp and free of wear, this superb very rare album has only ever had just very limited careful play since new. Please check out the pictures provided, these labels really are in perfect condition and simply look amazingly bright and fresh and simply cannot be bettered.

The single front laminated sleeve is printed in the UK by James Upton LTD, Birmingham & London, and this cover is also in immaculate near mint condition, the front lamination gleams as new and is near perfect, all edges and spine are superb with no wear/cracks or creases, the white matt rear is in extremely clean and bright condition with the absolute minimal amount of ageing and is still almost snow white in appearance, nearly all of these 1960's covers with white matt backs suffer from discolouring, blotches and unsightly staining but this brilliant example really is near perfect and just looks amazing for a sleeve that is now 42 years old.

The original poly-lined inner sleeve is the earliest possible for this release as anything later had the standard decca colour coded inners, this being red for mono & blue for stereo, like the vinyl and front laminated sleeve this original poly-lined inner sleeve is also in superb defect free condition apart from just one or two spots and some light creasing.

The condition of this mega-rare earliest 1965 1st mono pressing really is worth all of the description hype as it really is a brilliant defect free copy that plays as new and will not need upgrading, you will not find this 42 year old original John Mayall album in better looking/playing condition than this.
