Description

Very rare and equally collectable, this is a nice copy of the iconic Blues musician John Mayall's very first single release Crawling Up A Hill, backed by Mr James. Both songs, which were written by Mayall, were recorded and released in 1964 and he was backed by the first line-up of his legendary Bluesbreakers - Peter Ward, Bernie Watson, John McVie and Martin Hart. This original copy is  enhanced by having FIRST PRESS matrices and stampers.

DECCA Catalogue Number:  F.11900

Matrices:  XDRF-33112-TI-IC and XDRF-33111-TI-IC

Stampers:  1  C and 1 U

The vinyl has a nice sheen - while both sides have a few very light surface scratches, these in no way affect playback, which is superb on both sides. The labels are clean - both have spindle marks and the B side has an area of light scuffing. The Decca sleeve is correct for the time of release and is in excellent, clean condition. All in all this is a nice copy of a very rare vinyl.

Please note that I play all my records before listing and will always indicate in my descriptions any defects I notice in playback. I also endeavour to match the correct sleeve design for the time of release - where I'm unable to do so this will be stated.

The record will be posted in a 7" record mailer, with stiffener - for countries outside the EU mailing cost may be slightly higher than stated, so please await invoice before paying.
