JOY DIVISION UK FACTORY 23 First press 7" RED TRANSLUCENT VINYL! VERY RARE! 45 with etchings indicating FIRST PRESS; "Don't Disillusion Me" & "I've only got record shops left etching" first press only etchings! And this is the highly sought after, scarce RED TRANSLUCENT version of the U.K. 7"

Only about 1 in 4-5 of this original FIRST PRESS from 1980 will turn Translucent RED when held under a bright light to check if it is one! This as you can see is a RED TRANSLUCENT copy! And it is a bit Darker RED than most. Just in case you are familiar with slight shade differences like me; it is slightly rarer than lighter RED TRANSLUCENT copies! Excellent condition, no issues, some very light slight sleeve marks! Very RARE IMPORTANT RECORD! Some people felt that they made some (about 25% of them) turn translucent red from black as a special thing relating to the song or his death. I don't really think so; but I don't know, maybe it could be so?

Remember this is the VERY RARE RED TRANSLUCENT FIRST PRESS from 1980. Released right around Ian Curtis's suicide on May 18th, 1980.

This record upon talking to some more U.K. Collectors it appears that 10% is more accurate possibly less (even heard 5%) of the original FIRST PRESS COPIES TURN TRANSLUCENT RED! It isn't known how few there were but it seems accurate that maybe 1 in 10 or 20 COPIES may turn TRANSLUCENT RED when held up to a bright light like this. And it is only found in a very small number of records; all of which are FIRST PRESS copies. It includes the etchings:
