Description
Prestige Bluesville 1077, “Indiana Ave. Blues” with J.T. Adams and Shirley Griffith, both on vocals and guitar; from 1963. Original-label vinyl is heavyweight but does not have a DG; it plays at VG+(+) with definite light static that is ignorable from a distance. The jacket is in the original shrink wrap and in excellent condition with slight wear on the right corners and slight ringwear that appears to be on the shrink wrap. There are no bends, and the jacket back is very clean with no writing or stamps. Numbers are “Walkin’ Blues”, “Match Box Blues”, “Indiana Ave. Blues”, “In the Evening”, “’A’ Jump”, “Oh Mama How I Love You”, “Bright Street Jump”, “Done Changed the Lock on My Door”, “Blind Lemon’s Blues”, and “Naptown Boogie”. This is one of a set of original Bluesville LPs from several collections brought together for sale this week on eBay. Most are original DG copies in remarkable condition, and many are in the original shrink wrap. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $18.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. A few record labels such as Folkways may be slightly more expensive to ship overseas. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
