I HAVE JUST ACQUIRED A SMALL COLLECTION OF A DOZEN OR SO ROCK N ROLL LP's INCL JOHNNY BURNETTE , JERRY LEE LEWIS , FATS DOMINO , LITTLE RICHARD , THE CHAMPS , THE CHANTAYS AND EDDIE COCHRAN , I WILL BE LISTING ALL OVER THE NEXT WEEK OR SO AND I MUST SAY THIS REALLY IS A VERY NICE COLLECTION .

ALL RECORDS ARE FULLY PLAY TESTED ON MY TRUSTY AIWA TURNTABLE AND GOOD QUALITY JVC AMP . THIS DOES ONLY HAVE A STD BASS AND TREBLE CONTROL WHICH I HAVE SET ON A HIGH " TINNY " SETTING . I LIKE TO SET IT LIKE THIS AS IT PICKS UP EVEN THE VERY SLIGHTEST BIT OF NOISE SO I KNOW I CAN DESCRIBE EVERY LP CORRECTLY ETC . I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT PLAYED ON BETTER OR TOP QUALITY SYSTEMS WITH GREATER AND MORE TECHNICAL SOUND CONTROL ETC , THESE RECORDS WILL SOUND A LOT BETTER THAN I HAVE DESCRIBED . I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I OFTEN GIVE RECORDS ANOTHER QUICK PLAY ON THE FIRST COUPLE OF TRACKS ON MY PERSONAL TOP QUALITY PIONEER SYSTEM AND I DO FIND THAT MOST OF ANY NOISES LIKE CRACKLE ETC ARE MUCH MUCH QUIETER , SOME EVEN HARDLY SOUND AT ALL . I TEST EVERY RECORD AND FIND THAT MY AIWA WILL COVER MANY OTHER SIMILAR SET UPS THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE , I DID WANT TO JUST POINT THIS OUT , THANK YOU .
Please note that i do tend to use " Very Good Condition " for most of my records , although none are heavily scratched etc and most will just have some general light surface marks only . The only exception to this is if the record does have scratches and lots of marks etc but is very rare and collectable and will be described in great detail . I never use " Mint " or " Near Mint " unless the record is unopened from it's original shrink wrap and is clearly unplayed . Even with these i am wary because if the record has been stored for years in maybe a damp garage or loft etc and has not been opened , then we can only presume it should be mint because we obviously can't actually see the record . Everyone obviously has their own opinions as to what is very good and excellent , but in my case , i tend to think that most , if not all records do have marks to some degree ( lots even from new ! ) purely because they are vinyl and mark easy and have been used over a considerable amount of time in most cases . This is why i use Very Good most of the times . This is also why i do go into great detail with my descriptions , as the term " Very Good " can be a bit vague . I do use " Excellent Condition " sometimes , but in my case , i would class this as not played very much at all , excellent shine and just a handful of the very lightest and small surface hairline marks only , most only being visible under a light , so you know that when i use excellent , i really do mean excellent . Lots of my records as you can see by my feedback are better than described , more better than very good and closer to near ( if not ) excellent and i do pride myself on this fact , this is why i do use mainly " Very Good " but with very detailed descriptions also of which i will say i can go a little OTT with noise and general condition and can often make a record sound bad when it really isn't , i do just try my best to say how it is , but as i say please do check my feedback and you will see you can bid with confidence , thank you .

Jerry Lee Lewis S/T LP Rare UK Dated 11-58 Pro Cleaned See Details . On UK London Plum / Silver Print Labels HA-S 2138 . This one is the rarer fully laminated cover with the scalloped flipbacks , it is also date coded 11-58 in the bottom right hand corner on the flipback .
COVER: Fully laminated ( Scalloped Top And Bottom flipbacks ) cover in a very strong near excellent condition and still very nice and clean , though i think many people may say airing closer to excellent overall , this cover really is a very nice example indeed , certainly one of the best i have seen a very very long time .
FRONT: Very nice and clean and still retains a nice glossy sheen overall . A few usual but mostly very light and small surface laminate crease lines in places round the outer edges , i say mostly as there are three or four of these that are crease crack lines though still light only and one is showing a tiny bit of white on the top edge , there are a couple of very small bits of laminate lift in places tight onto the left hand side edge , but this is very light only . A very very few extremely light and very small general surface marks in places and there are some usual but light and fine hairline swirls in places and one thin surface scuff line mark , though this just looks more like a tight cluster of hairlines very tight together and this is actually only slightly more visible when held at certain angles to the light , there are a couple of light dent / very soft crease lines near the top right corner and three or four extremely light and very small dent spots in places mainly down the left hand side edge , but all of these few dents are very light only , there is one slightly larger but still very light dent mark just above the centre , but again this really is very light indeed . There are the usual but amazingly very light only ringwear marks with just a light impression of the outer edge and label section of the record and just a little extremely light rubbing in places on these impressions . A really very nice front cover in fantastic shape for it's considerable age .
TOP / BOTTOM / LEFT HAND SIDE MAIN EDGES: ( Not Including Corners And Right Next To Corners Please See Corner Description ) . TOP EDGE: Mostly just some light rub wear present , this being a small bit on and just near to the left corner , two extremely small ( really tiny indeed ) rub spot marks on the main section and a couple of very small bits going towards the right corner . BOTTOM EDGE: Just one very small bit of rub wear near the left corner and two extremely tiny indeed rub spot marks on the main part of the edge . LEFT HAND SIDE EDGE: Normally obviously the spine edge , but these flimsy thin card covers of the time had all of the text printed on the rear and there was no actual spine . This edge has just one very small bit of rub wear near the bottom left corner and three extremely small ( again extremely tiny ) rub wear spot marks on the main edge part , there are also a couple of tiny dent spot knicks also on this edge , but these really are very light indeed .
MAIN SPINE EDGE: N/A .
OPENING EDGES: Notoriously wear prone edges but these really are still in fantastic shape with really mainly just a very very light and small bit of denting / very very very light wear in places mainly only visible on the inside , there are just three or four small bits of laminate peel on the very outer edges only , but this really isn't obviously visible when looking directly at these edges ( a very very slightly visible bit just above the bottom right corner but you do have to look very closely at it ) , there is no heavy fraying whatsoever and there is just a small bit of very slightly heavier rubbing / very very light fraying just below and just just above the right hand side corners on the fold back part where the cover is thicker and was glued when put together , there are no tears and amazingly both sides are still very nice and straight and pretty much both are still very close together with just a very little bit of general gapping .  
CORNERS: Some usual but mostly light and small bits of fray / dent wear on the corners which obviously has taken off some of the surface colours , a little bit of spreading onto the main edges on the top and bottom left corners , with the right hand corners just having a very small bit of fraying on the tip ends . There is a little light denting present , but this is very tight into the corners , virtually on the tip ends and there is some tiny bits of laminate missing on a couple of the tip ends , mainly on the bottom left corner .  
REAR: Still in really great shape overall and still retains a nice glossy shine . A very very few very light bits of general age related surface marks in places , but these are very light only and mainly just fine hairline swirls . A very few usual but light laminate surface crease lines and a couple of still light surface laminate crack lines in places round the outer edges and on the flipbacks . There are just a couple of extremely light very soft dents in places , but these really are very light indeed . There are the usual but again amazingly very very light ringwear marks with just a very very light impression of the outer edge and label section of the record and just the very slightest bit of rubbing in places only on the impression of the outer edge of the record and a little more , but still very very light only rubbing from the label section of the record , only really more visible when held at certain angles to the light . As i say , this cover really is in great shape , a notoriously wear prone thin card cover , but i think this one really is a very very nice example indeed and one of the cleanest , best examples i have seen in years ! .
INNER SLEEVE: Printed on one side ( pale lilac coloured print ) poly lined inner sleeve in a very strong very good / near excellent overall condition . A very very few very light and very small general surface / handling marks in places and there is some age related foxing / very light browning , mainly round and just near to the edges . The usual but generally very very light ringwear marks and mainly just a few very light creases / dents in places , i say mainly as there are two or three more prominent harder creases ( certainly not overly large ) on the bottom edge and one in the one top corner , there are the usual and more prominent creases / dents mainly caused by the outer edge of the record on and near the corners . Some light only normal useage wear on the top opening edges ( mostly just very light and small bits of denting ) and a very little very light wear on the side edges and corners . I can't confirm if this is the original inner sleeve , but it is consistent with the time period and label make . 
LABELS: London plum / silver print paper labels in near excellent condition . Very nice and clean with just a very very few very very light and very small usual spindle marks and just a couple of small and very fine hairlines at approx two o'clock on S1 label , but these really are extremely light and small only , there is a little light only wear round the outer edge of the spindle hole , but most of this is showing from the inside edge and as i say is just light only as you can hopefully see in the photos . Both labels are writing free .
RECORD: The overall visual grade under normal average household light conditions is generally a strong very good condition on the playing surface , though i think some may say a little better overall , there are just some usual light hairlines on S1 with mainly the same on S2 , but there is also one large surface scuff mark visible and a cluster of very small surface marks mostly around one area on the first couple of tracks , though the large scuff mark is actually more like clusters of very small hairlines in a line , not actual hard scuffs , i have shown this in the tenth and eleventh photos and i have shown them in different angles to the light as this does affect what it actually looks like . Some of the fine hairlines i will say are also only more visible when held at certain angles to or under a light . . I will say that there is what appears to be a line which runs round the blank run off just before the actual very end of the run off on both sides , they do appear to be done as part of the manufacturing process and to me appear to be machine done but obviously i can't confirm this in saying this , they can be felt , it passes through the line on both sides with just a brief noise as it passes through it , i must admit i am at a loss to know what this line is . As i don't know what they are and because of the noise , to be sure , all i did in the end on my second testing was to just take the arm off when the record had finished and before it reached the line and again to be sure i would also recommend this action if you are unsure , actually i doubt most people would have even mentioned them , but as you know , i do like to be thorough with all my descriptions , i have shown this in the last photo so you can see exactly what i mean . Obviously this had no affect on the music playback at all as it is just on the run offs .
AUDIO A SIDE: It plays perfectly crisp and clear throughout on the music playback with amazingly very little in the way of obvious noise worthy of mention and there was no nasty prolonged loud crackle etc , there really was just the odd bit of very very occasional very brief bits of very slight background only noise in places only on T2 and the same on the first part of T4 , but any of this really was very light and mainly background only , anything else really was extremely minimal indeed . Tick wise i just heard one isolated one just before half way on T3 , a couple of light ticks just after the start of T4 , there was the usual but very occasional very light odd isolated pop in places , but really not many at all and any being very light only . There are obviously some usual and often louder noises heard on the silent run ins/offs and silent track changeover lines , though i must say that even most of the silent changeover lines were very quiet indeed overall with just the odd very occasional light pop . This side on the music really does play and sound great and the audio tones are still awesome . There were no jumps etc when tested on my deck and it still retains a very nice shine . Again i must stress that considering the age and popularity of this one , the sound on the music and vocals really is great ! .
AUDIO B SIDE: It plays perfectly crisp and clear throughout on the music playback with again really very little in the way of obvious noise and again there was no nasty prolonged loud crackle etc . I just heard a very very few bits of the lightest briefest mainly background noise in a very very few odd places mainly on the first half on T2 and a tiny bit of very very slight in two or three places on T4 , but this was extremely light only and anything else really was extremely minimal indeed . This side again on the music really does play and sound great on the music and the audio tones are still awesome . There were no jumps etc when tested on my deck and it still retains a nice shine . Again i must stress that considering the age and popularity of this one , the sound on the music and vocals really is great ! and it must be up there with the better sounding examples and certainly one of the best covers i've seen in a very very long time ! .

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times , but displays no major deterioration in sound quality , despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .
Please note that whilst I haven’t increased my postage charges for quite a while now , this now other recent price increase , has seen me unfortunately have to put a slight increase on my postage charges . This is also topped with the rise in cost for quality card mailers , jiffy bags , stiffeners , other packaging materials etc , Ebays 10% extra fee for seller postage costs plus their other fees and Paypal now charging 20p per item sold on Ebay plus their other fees .
