Description
This is just amazing! A real once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. - A totally MINT UK original first pressing of the 'This Was' LP. This LP came from a jazz collector who bought this LP at the time of its original release and decided it wasn't his 'thing'. It has remained in unplayed and as new condition ever since! This is the original stereo issue.
Island ILPS 9085
Original pink Island labels with matt texture. +A / +B matrix numbers. A genuine first pressing.
Laminated gatefold sleeve with internal flipback to the top of the sleeve. Original sleeve with Oxford Street Island address to rear.
This sleeve is in unbelievable condition! - Totally mint, perfect and as new. This looks as if it was made yesterday. Totally and utterly perfect condition throughout! A really superb wide spine which hasn't been crushed at all. No wear and no damage. Unmarked and fabulous!!!
The record has not been played (except just possibly part of track one, side one). It looks totally new with just a few extremely light marks which have been caused by the paper inner sleeve. The labels are totally perfect and as new with no spindle marks. The original paper inner sleeve is like new.
I have absolutely no hesitation in grading this as MINT throughout. This LP is 36 years old and is as perfect as the day it was first made!!
You will NEVER see a better copy than this. This is a genuine one-of-a-kind opportunity. This belongs in a museum....
