Original 1st Press UK LP released in 1967 on Track Records. Cat: 612 001. This is the MONO edition. Wonderful to here this UK MONO first edition. The guitar really jumps out of the speakers!!
Uncovered in the out back of N.S.W. this record is part of a recent collection stored and unplayed for the last 20 years. Collected during the 90's and mostly sourced from overseas kept in a cool dry cellar there are some tasty gems on offer and we look forward on listing them over the next few months.
One of the most stunning debuts in rock history, and one of the definitive albums of the psychedelic era. On Are You Experienced?, Jimi Hendrix synthesized various elements of the cutting edge of 1967 rock into music that sounded both futuristic and rooted in the best traditions of rock, blues, pop, and soul. It was his mind-boggling guitar work, of course, that got most of the ink, building upon the experiments of British innovators like Jeff Beck and Pete Townshend to chart new sonic territories in feedback, distortion, and sheer volume. It wouldn't have meant much, however, without his excellent material, whether psychedelic frenzy ("Foxey Lady," "Manic Depression," "Purple Haze"), instrumental freak-out jams ("Third Stone from the Sun"), blues ("Red House," "Hey Joe"), or tender, poetic compositions ("The Wind Cries Mary") that demonstrated the breadth of his songwriting talents.

There are some light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and light scratches that cause some crackles in parts mostly noticeable between tracks and start of sides. Lovely listening to the original MONO mix, have graded the record conservitavely at VG condition. Gloss cover has light ring wear and marks, some scuffing on corners and some small surface tears around edges and is in VG+ condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
