I wasn't sure where to begin with this record so I just needle dropped some of my favorite parts, A side is vocals B side instrumental so I included some of both

WELCOME! I Work in a record store in Austin, Texas and I am going to be selling off some of my collection, I am starting off small, but I do have all positive feedback for records and other items, including some pricey heavy hitters and no complaints thus far thankfully. This week I'm offering a lot of RARE and OBSCURE records from all sorts of genres, mostly private press stuff, like boogie funk psych soul folk xian weird etc..

For auction is: John Anderson and the Spectrum Singers - Young Life Songs LP . Spectrum Records ES-3101 . San Carlos, CA recorded 1969 . Record in partnership with the church ministries Young Life.  Most Songs By John Anderson. This is a Christian concept album to be played during meetings, as the A side has vocals in tracks that he and others wrote, and the B side is basically versions of the A side tracks without the vocals, except for the first track which is a kind of experimental psych-out tune to get the group in the right frame of mind...
I can't seem to find much info out there on this record, which surprises me as it is affiliated with a pretty big organization, the weirdness factor is extremely high, and I really like the experimental nature of Mr Anderson's endeavor, its almost like an early Xian Psych library LP.  Some of the songs are better than others but there's a lot of fuzzed out psych riffage to choose from, even if it is a little campy at times.

   Vinyl:  VG+ ( Record is a nice heavy pressing quality and in good shape with a lot of gloss still. Has a few series of minor hairline scratches that are light and a couple small marks that you can barely feel but don't affect play except maybe a crackle, the B side I'd visually grade a strong VG, the A side is a VG+, but the record plays EX- amazingly, so I'm going to call the overall grade a VG+ with all the factors considered.)  ^Listen to Sound Clip

Jacket/Label: VG  (Jacket is in pretty nice shape but there is some rough wear along the back spine and the top edge is taped with clear tape that is well done and neat but is obviously visible in light. Other than that its quite nice, hardly any ring wear or discoloration or general wear, mainly just a problem of the 2 edges, one taped and one worn.)
