JOHN CARPENTER - "HALLOWEEN" - RARE JAP HORROR 7”!!!
DJ-friendly Jap issue of John Carpenter’s seminal theme from horror classic “Halloween”!
Unlike the US release (retrospectively churned out by Varese Sarabande a few years later) this issue came out at the same time as the film, making it the ORIGINAL PRESSING of this genius minimal synth anthem. Interestingly, it also contains a different mix from the US LP; at the end of the cut, we’re treated to the haunting kidlet’s chant – “Black cats and goblins . .And witches and ghosts. . .” which opens the movie proper. Have a listen to the MP3 and you’ll get the gist. . .

Seminal horrorcore sounds – should come in very handy come Halloween / at your local gothic dancefloor / etc etc etc etc. Flip side contains “The Night He Came Home”. Released on Columbia LK-115, 1979.
