Description

John Coltrane – Soultrane (1958) Vinyl LP - Prestige 7142 Yellow/Black Label

Welcome to Legacy Spins Vinyl! Up for grabs is a true piece of hard bop jazz history: an early pressing of John Coltrane’s masterpiece, Soultrane, released on the iconic Prestige label. Featuring Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Arthur Taylor, this session is an absolute staple for any serious jazz enthusiast.

Album Highlights:

Features incredible Coltrane performances, including a gorgeous rendition of Billy Eckstine's "I Want to Talk About You," plus heavy-hitters like "Good Bait," "You Say You Care," "Theme for Ernie," and "Russian Lullaby."

Condition Details:

Vinyl: Visually graded as G+ to VG-. The record retains a nice original shine but does show scuffs and handling wear typical of a record this age. The classic yellow and black "fireworks" labels are clean with bright, highly legible text.

Sleeve: Visually graded as Poor/Fair. This jacket has seen a lot of history. There is significant peeling and edge damage along the top front. The back cover has prominent permanent marker writing ("Property of...") across the top half, along with typical age discoloration. Please review all provided photos carefully to see the exact exterior condition.

The Legacy Spins Treatment:

To ensure you get the absolute best authentic analog warmth from this legendary 1958 session, this record will receive a premium ultrasonic cleaning prior to shipping. This deep-cleaning process pulls decades of micro-dust and debris from the grooves, maximizing audio fidelity and ensuring it is ready for your turntable the moment it arrives!

This is a fantastic opportunity to own a highly collectible, vintage Prestige pressing of a John Coltrane essential at a fraction of the cost of a pristine copy.

Shipping & Handling:

Ships fast and securely packaged in a dedicated, protective vinyl mailer to ensure safe transit.
