Description

An original 1st issue of Imagine on the UK Apple label from 1971. Matrix 1U/1U. Stampers 3-GL/3-OP Etching "Porkie / Pecko". The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue cover with pinched spine. Also included is the original inner sleeve and the promo photocard. But please note there is NO poster.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has, thankfully, only seen very light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio come across with perfect clarity. So, let's start with the track IMAGINE as this is always the sure-fire test as to whether you're onto something, or not. Imagine is both very low-key and down tempo and, unsurprisingly, a very popular track which often gets played to death. This copy is very low-mileage and I can report that track 1 plays absolutely great - excellent clarity. And this is pretty much the way things proceed throughout the entire record. Interference is practically non-existent. We detected a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. And that really is it....FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has been clearly looked after down the years. Lovely shiny front and back with a couple of slight creases. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat. A fantastic specimen.
Inner (Ex) Slight ageing. creeping in on one side. No splits or markings. Impressive.
Photocard (Ex) No faults. Great condition.
