Description

Wedding Album is the final in a succession of three experimental albums by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. It followed Unfinished Music No. 1: Two Virgins and Unfinished Music No. 2: Life with the Lions.
"John & Yoko", the first side, a recording made on 22 and 27 April 1969, is of Lennon and Ono calling to each other, through a range of emotions, over the sound of their heartbeats. Lennon described the heartbeats as being "like African drums", and the piece being "like an extended, very extreme John and Marsha that was out years ago by Stan Freberg. It really makes your hair stand on end."
"Amsterdam", the second side, had been recorded first, in a hotel room in Amsterdam, Holland, during 25–31 March 1969. The piece consists of interviews, conversations and captured sounds during the couple's "Bed-In" honeymoon. An early form of what would become "John John Let's Hope for Peace" forms the beginning of "Amsterdam". Lennon sings a brief excerpt of the Beatles song "Good Night".
This is the Japanese edition of the package and contains the following:
1) Vinyl LP housed in a super super thick Gatefold Sleeve  2) Fold-open Poster / Booklet titled 'The Wedding'  3) Press Booklet titled 'The Press'  4) 6 panel photo /sketches Booklet  5) Postcard 6) set of 4 Passport Photos 7) Wedding Cake photo  8) 4 page Leaflet with all the dialogue from the Vinyl LP  9) the original OBI Paper Strip 10) Reproduction of the wedding certificate pasted in the box lid.
All the contents are in excellent condition (as seen in the photos). The LP itself has not been played in years and looks like it has no scratches or marks. However the outer box is showing its age with some yellowing and a dinged upper left corner.
