There is 'rare', and there is...........

Johnny Burnette and the Rock'n Roll Trio 10" Vogue Coral LVC10041

Issued in 1956 Matrix numbers MG-5032-1B and MG-5033-2B (These numbers are stamped twice on each run off area)

This copy of a much sought after album, is not in great condition. By the Record Collector Grading System the cover could be described as 'Good', and the record as 'Fair'.

I have cared for this album, since I aquired it thirty years ago. There is no fading of the colour (color) or spinal splits. The faults, which happened earlier in it's life, include :--- a quarter inch by two inch tear (bite shaped) at the opening edge on the front cover.....a half inch 'opening' at the bottom of the opening edge.....two sellotape 'repairs' on the front, lower right, cover, and on the back, lower left.

There is no 'inner sleeve'.

The disc is very badly scuffed and marked. The run off area looks as though it has been attacked by a wire brush or a rough cloth, probably an amateur attempt to clean it. Though none of the scores look very deep, and the labels are in almost perfect condition, and have no 'spindle' wear or marks.

I have given as fair a description as I can, and, in addition, some clear photographs, to help you.. Although the scoring and scuffs, on the vinyl, do not show up in the photographs, as clearly as they do in 'real life', the photographs DO give a clear indication of the condition of the front and back covers, and the labels.

I only played it recently, to help me grade it. Background noise of course, and a few skips, but most tracks can be heard clearly enough to enjoy, and most are 'skip' free.

But who would want this record for it's sound quality?. It should be framed, and loved, as a piece of 'rock n roll', or 'rockabilly', history.

I know this very rare record, is far from being 'mint', but I have enjoyed having it, for the past thirty years. Not least because of the looks of envy on the faces of many of my friends who know how important, and special, it is.

But I have reached a stage, when I think I should pass it on to someone, who will appreciate having it.
