Description
Purchased Used in a record store, came in a plastic bag. This is the UK Import recorded in Berlin in August and September 1984 and released on EG Records in 1985. I HAVE NEVER PLAYED THIS ALBUM.
Bottom left corner is showing wear (see picture). Top front left area has a "pressure crease" along spline (see picture). Very slight wear (dulling) starting along top front and top front edge has a few small "pressure creases" (see pictures). Back top left corner and bottom left corner showing wear (see pictures) and some small "pressure creases" along back spline edge.and bottom edge on back cover. Lettering close to center on spline and album access edge looks good.
Inner paper sleeve is a good quality and has songs, lyrics and credits listed on both sides. It is starting to show a liitle "ring wear" on a couple of spots (see pictures). No creases, folds, rips or splits but one side edge is showing white (see picture). It has some visible fingerprints showing on it, too. All that said, it is still a very nice inner sleeve.
Vinyl is as close to Near Mint as can be. No visible scuffing or scratching seen at all. Labels look good with showing a few "spindle marks" around center. I never played this album.
Side One: Night Time - Darkness Before Dawn - Love Like Blood - Kings and Queens Side Two: Tabazan -Multitudes - Europe - Eighties
Killing Joke are an English rock band formed in Notting Hill, London, in 1979 by Jaz Coleman (vocals, keyboards), Paul Ferguson (drums), Geordie Walker (guitar) and Youth (bass).
Their first album, Killing Joke, was released in 1980. After the release of Revelations in 1982, bassist Youth was replaced by Paul Raven. The band achieved mainstream success in 1985 with the album Night Time and particularly the single "Love Like Blood" which reached the top ten in Belgium, the Netherlands and New Zealand.
The band's musical style emerged from the post-punk scene, but stood out due to their heavier approach, and has been cited as a key influence on industrial rock. Their style evolved over many years, at times incorporating elements of gothic rock, synth-pop and electronic music, but always featuring Walker's prominent guitar and Coleman's "savagely strident vocals". Killing Joke have influenced many later bands and artists, such as Metallica, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden.
Part of my personal punk collection. One of my favorite groups.price rating
