KING CRIMSON / LARKS' TONGUES IN ASPIC LP
First press of this LP on the pink-rim Island label, one of the greatest examples of early 1970s British progressive rock. The recordings feature the short-lived 5-piece King Crimson, with Jamie Muir briefly playing percussion, dried leaves and sundry other devices and objects of curiosity, making for a collective sound unparalleled not only in King Crimson, but in British music generally: arguably, it had no rivals anywhere.
The LP is in excellent condition. It has a few light surface marks, but these do not hinder playing.
The matrix numbers are 9230 - A 2U / 9230 -B 2U.
The sleeve has some light staining to the top right of the front/top left of the rear. An experienced restorer could correct this, but I have not had the courage to try.
The inner bag with lyrics etc is intact and in excellent condition, bearing the stamped patent no and 'made in England'.
A fantastic example of this extraordinary record.
