Here's an original UK pressing of The Kinks Misfits LP, issued in 1978


1978 UK white label test pressing


Possibly the only UK test press of this LP in existence, 

or perhaps one of an extremely tiny handful only


Has some faint print on the Side 1 label with the pencil written numbers 62 / 83358 A


Matrix numbers are as follows: 

Side 1: hand etched into the Side 1 run-out groove is SPART - 1055 - A2  6483 338 A 

There's also the following machine lettering: SPART (followed by a heart shaped symbol) 1055 A#5 MD  


Side 2:  hand etched into the Side 2 run-out groove is 6483 358 B

There's also the following machine lettering: SPART (followed by a heart shaped symbol) 1055 B#4 

(followed by an upside down triangle shaped symbol) 4 2 D  W


On the Arista label, catalogue no. SPART 1055

 

CONDITION

WHITE LABEL VINYL:  EX  / EX+

Vinyl Side 1 is EX  has a scuff / a few very qlight hairlines, Side 2 is EX+, in great condition


Both labels are MINT & perfect with no spindle trails or wear at all

 

SLEEVE:  VG++ to Near EX 

Fully laminated Sleeve is a strong VG++ to Near EX rubbing / light handling only, has superb seams with no seam splits at all, in really fine condition
