KISS - CREATURES OF THE NIGHT Vinyl LP, w/ RARE Alternate Cover. US Mercury Press from 1985, STERLING
After the band took off the makeup in 1982, they reissued this album in 1985 under the Mercury label and replaced the original cover with a non - makeup version featuring the then current lineup w/ Bruce Kulick on guitar - (Vinnie Vincent played on the album and Ace Frehley appeard on the original 1982 cover)
This version also features a different arrangement of the track listing from the 1982 Casablanca press.
Not sure how many of these were pressed in 1985 but it was the last time this album was pressed on vinyl until the 2015 reissues which feature the restored original 1982 Casablanca cover.
This has become a somewhat rare item for collectors, especially a sealed copy. I bought this at a K-Mart from the discount album bin in 1985.
CONDITION: Vinyl is MINT. Album is SEALED Cover is NM/EX. There is a promo cut on the top upper left hand corner (see photo). The shrink is also starting to open on the side (see photo) about a quarter of the way where the album sleeve would open. However, it is still 3 quarters closed.
