Description
Strictly Limited to 525 copies - Comes In a handmade Letterpress sleeve designed and printed By Marta Dos Santos*
Kieran Hebden's Text label gives up his and Steve Reid's fiery, crowd-pleasing cover version of Derrick May's 'Strings of Life', recorded live at the Green Man Festival in August 2006. As you can tell from the applause, the duo's ruffneck, spiralling cover goes down a treat, with the late, legendary New York City sticksman Reid bashing and splashing wild breaks around Hebden's scrambled electronics and giddy piano riffs.
On the B-side, they reprise that febrile atmospheres of creativity with 'Tongues', which was recorded at The Exchange in February 2006 and catches the two locked to a droning EBM jazz trajectory climaxing at kaleidoscopic gush
This is mint and unplayed and has never been removed from the sleeve - comes in a protective plastic sleeve.
