*** Killer wild Black Rocker ***
Rare and wild, rockin stomper from 1963 by Bluesman Walter Rhodes under the name of The Blonde Bomber. Rhodes was born in 1939 in Beaufort, NC (I wonder if there is any connection with the Walter Rhodes who recorded in the 1920s with Richard 'Hacksaw' Harney) He chose the name The Blonde Bomber as a variant on heavyweight boxer Joe Louis’ nickname The Black Bomber for his own albino pigmentation.
The flip side is a great deep, soul-full ballad.
