READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality.
They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute.

King Crimson 1969 RECORD CLUB LP In the Court of the Crimson King, RARE, Nice Vinyl!
Collectors and audiophiles know that Record Club issues from the mid to late 1960’s were pressed from the same masters as reel-to-reel and 8-track tapes were. Many of these pressings offered a richer sound quality. In some cases, there were slightly different versions. But not having a turntable at the minute, I’ve not played this copy to be able to A/B it with my first pressing. Maybe that’ll be the fun for you to have!
Record Club pressings were not issued to the public, so they were never in the stores.
This copy was offered through the RCA Record Club.
Vinyl--- VG+/VG+. Still a very strong grade, this copy would be Excellent, except for some manufacturer’s cloudiness in the vinyl, plus a few errant light, non-feelable marks. Still a healthy 90% shine.
Plates--- STA-691699-C/ STA-691700-C. Both sides have “W.” Both sides have the “AT” for “Atlantic.” Both sides have the plate preparer’s initials, “LW.”
Cover--- VG. Top and bottom edges have moderate to heavy shelfwear, but the cover has NO SPLIT SEAMS.
Gatefold--- Excellent. Hardly any wear, the gatefold looks almost new. NO CENTER SPLITS.
Labels--- EX/EX. 1841 Broadway address.
Inner Sleeve--- VG. Original Atlantic inner sleeve that was in use in the late 1960’s is present. Sleeve is yellowed and has seam splits.
A generic white sleeve will be provided in order not to damage your Atlantic company sleeve en route.
