Description
For auction is an original PYE mono copy of the Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society.
Vinyl side 1 - Etched / Stamped NPL18233A -1̶3̶♢̶W̶ 3♢W KT G. Retains a nice shiny surface to the vinyl, but with an amount of hairline scratches (not excessive), and no deep feelable scratches, all cosmetic only. Side one plays without any nasty clicks or pops, but with some background crackle as to be expected from a vintage LP. This does not interfere with your enjoyment of the music. The center label is undamaged and has a moderate amount of spindle marks present.
Vinyl side 2 - Etched / Stamped NPL19233B - 3♢W I KT C Retains a nice shiny surface to the vinyl, but with an amount of hairline scratches (not excessive), and no deep feelable scratches, all cosmetic only. Side two plays with some light spaced out clicks to the first track (Animal Farm) all other tracks free from any nasty clicks or pops, but with some background crackle as to be expected from a vintage LP. This does not interfere with your enjoyment of the music. The center label has the initials J.P.M written in blue biro and some localised rubbing to the blue label, also a moderate amount of spindle marks present.
Inner Sleeve - Original poly line period PYE inner, Pat Pending 1,072,844, in very good condition, with the initials J.P.M written on the top corner.
Cover - It has the later PYE/PRT, more robust cover in good all round condition, with minimal rubbing and no damaged other than many years of carful use. Please refer to the enclosed images as these form a part of the description.
All i all, a great and sought after addition to any record collection that wont break the bank (to much) The cheapest available on Discogs at present is £150! Cleaned and Play tested on a Rotel RP850 with micro linear stylus.
