Earlier this year, the world lost soul legend Angie Stone far too soon. As a tribute, devoted fan Eva Lazarus recorded her own take on one of Stone's beautifully intricate vocal arrangements and shared it on Instagram. The heartfelt rendition of the seminal, emotionally impactful 'Wish I Didn't Miss You' caught the attention of label boss Shepdog, who suggested turning it into an official release. Producers Brad Baloo of The Nextmen association and Luke Allwood of the likes of Gentleman's Dub Club and Hollie Cook joined the project and created a warm, soulful reggae version that captures the spirit of the original. Complete with a fresh dub version, the track is a loving homage to Angie Stone's lasting soul legacy.
