Description
Very collectable copy of the classic 1970 "Led Zeppelin 3" LP on the original Atlantic Red & Plum label - 2401002.
Note that this is the rarer version with Jimmy Page & Peter Grant named on the labels as producers (ie. the transitional copy from the first pressing to second pressing, the latter being those without the Peter Grant credit).
The laminated gatefold sleeve is in decent condition for its age and the famous 'rotating wheel' design works well. There is some age related 'browning' of the sleeve as you would expect of a classic vintage item and a few light marks and unfolded inner centre seam, but no tears of rips.
The vinyl itself is fairly weathered with a few light scratches but it plays well, with a few crackles. It has that great airy sound that you just don't get with compressed CD or WAV audio. The messages 'Do What Thou Wilt' & 'So Mote It Be' are etched in the run-off.
Please note before bidding that I am not selling this LP as being in brilliant A+ condition, it is sold as seen.
Am also including a Mojo mag from July 2014 with Jimmy Page interview and 50 best Zep tracks article. Slight tear on cover.
Any questions please ask. Item will be securely packaged up before posting.
