Description

This is an auction for a UK 1st press Plum/Red Atlantic Led Zepellin III, rare original 1970 10-track stereo LP, catalogue number 2401002. Produced by Jimmy Page and Executive Producer is Peter Grant. Credits for both are on the album.

Hand-etched on the run-out groove is 'Do what thou wilt' 2401002 A5, on side 1 and on side 2 'So mote it be' 2401002 B5.

The original early press EJ Day Deluxe gatefold sleeve is in good condition but with a few creases in the laminate covering. It has the deluxe stamp in the right bottom corner on the front and the catalogue number on the spine. The die-cut circles have no wear and and the spinning wheel is perfect. The colours are bold and bright. There is a little light discolouration around the edges. The spine is firm with readable text.

Visually there are a number of fine surface scratches on both sides and one or two slightly larger ones. I have not played the album in over twenty years, but do not remember any jumps or skips.
