Description
Led Zeppelin 2 - UK Atlantic 588 198 from 1969. This is the very first issue on the Atlantic red plum-purple label. However there are three other pressings on this label. This is the very 1st one which can be noted by the variation on the side 2 label which has the second track as 'Livin'Lovin'Wreck' NOT 'Living Loving Maid' which is on all other pressings.
It has an A2B2 matrix.
This is a very hard item to find as the pressing was relatively short before the label change-certainly in my experience one finds far more of the much coveted 1st LP with Turquoise lettering etc, yet having seen both at a similar value some years ago the Led Zep 1 has been 'Superhyped' so much -get it!-that its value has taken off relative to this 1st Led Zep 2 which I am sure is available in less numbers.
Condition of the gatefold sleeve is fine - a few minor things on the outer sleeve but nearly all good as is the inner sleeve.
Overall grades at EX. The disc has good clean labels with the correct wording. It has a fair no.of marks and some scuff/pressing marks also - mainly on side 2. Nevertheless it retains a decent sheen and only a couple of the marks stand out - plays fine with some surface noise here and there. Grades at VG-.
