Led Zeppelin : Presence A2 / B2
On offer here is a superb second pressing that plays to an incredible standard on both sides. There is no interference, not one single click or pop, and the clarity is exceptional.
The first A1/B1 pressing is hard to find today and this second press, still with 'Made in UK' on the labels is more than an adequate replacement!
The embossed cover is in lovely condition with minimal shelf wear and is certainly one of the 'cleanest' you will find. The inner sleeve is also in great shape with no side splits.

Visual grading
This is a stunning looking vinyl and has clearly been very well preserved. It has such an impressive glossy sheen and no scratches at all. All I can detect are a couple of very hairlines on each side and some very minor 'specks' on S2 which have no affect on the stunning audio whatsoever. The run out grooves are immaculate and the 'Swan Song' labels are also super clean. A superb looking vinyl!
Play grading
The slow build up intro on 'Achilles Last Stand' is nigh on perfect with only a couple of dust ticks and then plays with superb power and depth. There is no interference - not one single click or pop and no distortion either which is a rarity. The only 'background' is a minimal amount of light static right at the end of the end of the fade out. Mint- for sure.
'For Your Life' plays with sublime quality from the very first groove to the last. Once again there is no interference and the playback cannot be faulted in any way. Jones' bass is so deep here and adds so much to the overall 'sound' when you find such a 'clean' vinyl like this. A stunning Mint- version. 'Royal Orleans' is of a very similar standard and has no 'background' at all. As is the case with these early 70s pressings it does have a 'tinny' type sound but that is just the way it was produced/recorded and should not be downgraded as such. I will however grade as Near Mint just to be cautious! But, I hasten to add, there are no clicks, pops, static or crackle.

The intro on 'Nobody's Fault But Mine' plays with perfect precision - this in itself is quite a rarity as it does of course have some quieter moments. Once the classic rhythm 'kicks in' the audio is so strong and it continues in exactly the same way. The mid section harmonica section is superb and quite simply plays 'as new' and Page's solo towards the end is equally as good. The audio has lost none of its original quality in the intervening years and easily grades as Mint- once more.
'Candy Store Rock' again plays with supreme quality right from the word go. In all honesty this doesn't need a minus as this is Mint all the way through! The depth and power of the audio is sensational!
No need for a detailed description here - 'Hots On For Nowhere' is of the same immaculate standard with not one iota of interference, no underlying static etc. Just pure Mint audio from start to finish.
The classic 'Tea For One' you could say is the first real test for this vinyl as it has so many quiet sections. It begins superbly with no interference on the intro and the first 'quiet' section is just awesome! It plays with such a deep rich audio with only one mega faint dust tick. Stunning. As the vocal begins the playback is just as impressive with no sign of any interference and the clarity for a now 44 year old record is incredible. The more you listen to it the more you cannot believe the 'high end' quality on offer here and I cannot overstate well it plays! Every section plays beautifully and as you approach the end it continues to play with breathtaking clarity and distinction. This may well be the finest version I have ever heard - a stunning Mint version and it's not often you can say that about this track, what a version!
In summary this FINAL UPGRADE second pressing plays to a wonderful standard with no clicks or pops, basically no interference at all. Every track is super impressive but 'Tea For One' is a real highlight, the true definitive version you could say. There is no underlying static or crackle on either side and the clarity and definition could hardly be any better. A fantastic album!
The Gatefold
This cover is so prone to wear being so 'white' but this one is actually very clean. The edges and spine have no wear and the corners are in great shape also with only a tiny crease on the bottom right corner. The opening edge has no handling wear at all. Like I say the front cover is very clean and has only a small amount of fading around the edges and a couple of small creases next to the spine. The back cover again has only minor fading around the edge and there no marks as such on either side. The inside of the gatefold is in perfect condition. As per the first and early pressings the band name and album is embossed on the front as is the Swan Apollo logo on the back. An impressive cover and a lot cleaner than many you see today.
Inner Sleeve
This is also often found in poor condition but not this one! It has no side splits and is not marked or stained in any way, there is no creasing either. It just has a 'line' mark running down one which is common and is caused by the glue which holds the paper together. This is a superb inner without doubt.
The Labels
They are in beautiful condition and look practically 'as new'! I can only see a couple of very faint spindle traces on each side and they are very difficult to spot! Great examples.
