Description

Hi, my name is Brian and I have been collecting vinyl for many years.

I am known on ebay for selling VERTIGO swirl/spiral albums from my vast personal collection, but I also have other albums on just as interesting labels such as HARVEST, DERAM, PEGASUS, NEON, ISLAND, DAWN, B&C/CHARISMA, DANDELION, ATLANTIC etc which I am now putting up for sale.

I am not and have never been a 'dealer' by profession, but I have always given honest descriptions and lots of clear photo's of any items I have sold. I do know how disappointing it is when you open that package and the item has been over sold with expressions such as "AWESOME" etc when the item is only in EX- condition or worse. If you are in anyway disappointed with an item from me you are most welcome to return it with a FULL REFUND, providing it is an honest and just mistake by myself as I believe in my descriptions.

SO HERE WE GO.......

For sale here is --LED ZEPPELIN-- LED ZEPPELIN 1969 UK ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESS ON THE PLUM AND RED ATLANTIC LABEL

STEREO  588171

THIS IS VERY FIRST PRESSING OF THIS EXTREMELY RARE ALBUM..........I WILL EXPLAIN........

As I am sure you are all aware the very 1st printed sleeves have the TURQUOISE lettering on the front of the sleeve, but to be a genuine VERY FIRST pressing of the vinyl it has to have UN-ALTERED matrix No's. After a very small number of albums were pressed the matrix No's were altered by the crossing out of the second 8 and for some reason it was scratched back in again? But not this copy.

PLEASE SEE THE CLOSE-UP PICTURES TO SEE THE UNTOUCHED MATRIX NUMBERS

SLEEVE
....NON-GATEFOLD and FULLY LAMINATED.   The colours are fresh looking and un-faded. The top edge is  unsplit and is in EX condition, the bottom edge is unsplit and is in EX condition. The spine has some creasing and laminate cracks but all the information is readable VG+. The opening edges are in EX condition with no splits or tears. There is wear to the tips of the corners. The front is in EX- condition with NO UNWANTED WRITING, NO TEARS and NO STAINS, there is surface rub, some creases to the laminate surface and some lift along the spine edge, please see the pictures below. The rear of the sleeve is in similar condition all the information is clear. This is a GREAT condition sleeve for 39 years of age. EX-.

LABELS..... There is NO unwanted writing, staining, stickers, residue or tears. There are only 1or 2 spindle marks on either side. They really look like "just out of the shop".N/MINT, N/MINT.

VINYL...... When you hold this album in the very brightest of lights you can see very few surface marks on either side there are NO SCRATCHES. In normal daylight this album looks PRISTINE. Both sides play without JUMPS or STICKING. I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing LINN SONDEK  and I have to say it sounds superb, a brilliant recording of brilliant music. I have owned several copies of this album ( and still do) but none sound as fresh or detailed as this one a real cut above all pressings that followed. The sound is UN-WORN, it is full and crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage. You can even hear Robert Plant opening and closing his mouth between lyrics on the beginning of Ramble on.!! There are a few dust crackles but a professional clean will sort out most of that. This really is a great copy that any collector would be delighted to add to their collection, a real KEEPER . EX+, EX+.

A RARE ALBUM  AND BRILLIANT MUSIC.

EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND VERY, VERY FIRST COPY

DON'T MISS IT!
