Led Zeppelin's last LP issued in September 1979, was in hindsight very appropriately titled! In 1980 Led Zeppelin played their final concert on the 7th July in West Berlin. The tragic death of John Bonham on the 25th September 1980 was followed by an announcement in December that the band would no longer continue and hence ended one of Rock's greatest era's. "In Through The Out Door" was an extravagent package as a first issue. A very thin brown paper outer sleeve with the title on one side and the tracks on the reverse, held the main cover. The main sepia coloured cover for the 1st Issues only was printed with six variations, each variation indicated by a different letter on the spine of the LP. The inner sleeve was a two sided affair, showing a bar top, one side showed the bar tidy whilst the other with a full ashtray and scatterd food etc. There was no information on the inner about the fact it was impregnated like a children's colouring book, as a "Magic Painting" which meant that if you applied water it turned blue, pink, yellow & green. This only applied to 1st issues and it is rare to find copies such as these that are uncoloured in. The 1st UK Inner Sleeves such as these have at the bottom of one side "Printed In England", unlike later German imported versions. The audio quality of these 1st 1979 pressings was simply stunning and were pressed on unusually thick high quality vinyl for a 1979 record. This is a stunning set to find in this condition and as such is very RARE! All 1st Issue points present and the condition of every record in this set is fantastic.

I have no hesitation in the grading of Mint- overall. Other than the faintest of spindle marks to some of the LP's this is an unplayed very carefully looked after set.

I have put all of the LP's in high quality PVC covers and they will be shipped to their lucky owner in a sturdy purpose made thick cardboard box.
