Blues creation came together with Carmen Maki - powerful female vocalist who is very assotiative with from grace slick to Jenis Joplin and till Nina Hagen. Album opens with hurricanish hard rock "Understand", but changes with folk ballad "and you", the album continues with great blues works "Lord, I can't be going no more" and "Empty Heart", where Carmen's not bad voice sound than Janis', especialy "empty heart" is good. In "Motherless Child" powerful riffs alternate with blues roulades, sometimes performed acapella. Heavy blues "I can't live for today", with great guitar virtuoso performed blues "Mean Old Boogie" and - genre classic - "St. James Infirmary" are complete the last part of the album. (progmusic.ru)
