Die Platte selbst ist in einem neuen Zustand, ohne Oberflächen Marken oder Verschlechterung der Tonqualität. Das Cover und zusätzliche Elemente wie das Textblatt, Broschüre oder Poster sind in einem perfektem Zustand.   AUSGEZEICHNET (EXCELLENT = EX)
Die Platte zeigt einige Anzeichen, das sie gespielt worden ist, aber es gibt sehr wenig Verminderung der Klangqualität. Das Cover und zusätzliche Elemente haben geringen Verschleiß.
SEHR GUT (VERY GOOD = VG)
Die Platte ist offensichtlich viele Male gespielt worden, zeigt aber keine wesentliche Verschlechterung der Tonqualität, trotz merklichen Oberflächen Marken und gelegentlichen leichten Kratzern. Normale Abnutzung und Verschleiß auf dem Cover oder zusätzlichen Elementen, ohne größere Mängel.   GUT (G)
Die Platte wurde sehr oft gespielt, so dass die Klangqualität sich merklich verschlechtert hat.
Das Cover und die Inhalte leiden unter Falten, Mattieren von Kanten, Verfärbungen, etc.   +/- Die Kürzel werden an eine der obenstehenden Qualitätsstufen angehängt, wenn sich die Platte (das Cover) keiner der Qualitätsstufen eindeutig zuordnen läßt.   CO (Cut-Out) Hier handelt es sich um Platten die aus Restbeständen der Industrie stammen. Sie sind eindeutig daran zu erkennen, das bei der Hülle eine Ecke abgeschnitten ist, bzw. das die Hülle gelocht wurde.
  Foc (Foldout Cover) Diese Platte besitzt ein Klapp-Cover.
(RI = Reissue) Bei dieser Platte handelt es sich um eine Nachpressung oder Wiederveröffentlichung mit der Orginal Titelauswahl und dem Orginalcover der Erstpressung.     MINT
 The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. 
 
EXCELLENT
 The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and  packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. 
 
VERY GOOD
 The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. 
 
GOOD
 The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
