Lovely complete example of this classic rare, eponymous 1969 UK 9-track first issue stereo LP with 'Superhype' publishing credit on the labels,. Comes with the original 1st issue fully laminated sleeve with turquoise lettering and grey stripe along the bottom. Released on 31st March 1969, this was the 1st issue debut of Led Zeppelin with the iconic Turquoise lettered sleeve with the grey stripe at the bottom. The reverse of the sleeve has the 1st issue 'Uptight An' Outasight' credit.
Labels
The labels are the plum & red design with black fan to the right, 'Made in Gt. Britain' at the top & 'Polydor Records Limited' at the bottom. They have the 'Superhype' and 'Jewel Music' credits under the track-listing. The labels are clean and free from writing.
Sleeve
The sleeve remains in superb condition, with only a few very light creases mainly toward the opening. There is some minor scuffing at the corners, but otherwise it shows no significant shelfwear. Its condition as a near fifty year old album remains surprisingly good indeed. The front image is still very white and the rear is especially clear, bright and clean. The spine text is fully readable. Original inner sleeve.
Vinyl
The matrix is uncorrected and the earliest issue.The vinyl is bright and has a high sheen. There are a few light scuffs and hairlines with one ore two slightly more visible marks. It plays through with clear dynamic audio and no skips or jumps.
All in all a great original earliest uncorrected matrix copy that grades VG++ / EX .
