Description of the record:

This is a single album by “Led Zeppelin" called “Led Zeppelin 4”, "Untitled", "Symbols" "Zoso" etc. This is the 1971 1st pressing on the Atlantic label, catalogue number 2401012.

Gatefold sleeve:

The sleeve is a first pressing unlaminated heavy weight gate fold sleeve.

The gate fold sleeve has been graded as Ex; some minor edge ware and minor label removal damage top right hand corner (see picture). The catalogue number has been written on the inside of the record housing (see picture). Apart from that it’s in excellent condition.

Inner sleeve:

The inner sleeve is a first issue being dark grey and having two fold back edges on the title side of the inner sleeve. The other side has the lyrics to "Stairway to heaven".

The inner sleeve has been graded as VG; 2" seam splits on all 3 sides. The bottom edge has been taped up (see picture).

Labels:

The labels again indicate a first pressing being Red/White/Plum. The feather symbol on side 2 is inverted. A sticker saying "LED ZEPPELIN" has been applied below the 4 symbols and another saying "Kinney Music Ltd./SuperhypeMusic Inc. Produced by Jimmy Page" has been applied to obscure the "Executive Producer Peter Grant" credit" (see pictures). These 2 stickers have been removed on side 2 showing the layout of a first pressing.

The labels have some spindle ware (see pictures).

Vinyl:

The record has been pressed in black vinyl and grade as VG; some back ground noise but not obtrusive. Visually the vinyl looks very clean with the odd mark and surface scratch (see pictures).

The record was graded using a Linn Adikt cartridge combined with a Gyger 2 stylus through an audiophile system. For grading definitions see the bottom of this advert.

Having played the records all the way through I guarantee the person who buys the records will not be disappointed; taking the grading into account. However if the item does not meet with the customers expectation then a full refund will be given if the item is returned in the same condition as it was sent. The refunding of postage and packaging will depend on the nature of the dissatisfaction.

Packaging:

The records will be packaged appropriately to prevent any damage from occurring during transit. Sealed records are not tampered with; if the records are not sealed then the following steps are taken. Records are removed from the outer sleeve to prevent damage occurring to the records or outer sleeve during transit. If records are housed in customised inner sleeves then the records are removed from the customised inner sleeves and placed in white inner sleeves. This prevents damage occurring to the customised inners sleeves such as seam splits and ring ware during transit.

Posting times:

Items will be posted the next working day after payment has been received or cleared.

Combining Postage & Packaging:

If more than one item is purchased, where possible, postage and packaging will be combined to give the cheapest and most appropriate postal option.

Definitions for Record Grading:

M = Mint

M sleeve: No wear of any kind to the sleeve.

M record: No wear what so ever to the record. Any mint records in this collection will have been played only a handful of times.

Ex = Excellent

Ex sleeve: Some slight wear to the cover; some impression to the cover; no seam splits.

Ex record: Minimal wear; some scuffs; record plays close to perfect.

VG = Very Good

VG sleeve: Some ageing; minor wear to seams or spine; minor creasing, some impression.

VG record: Some surface scratching; some back ground noise but not obtrusive.

Gd = Good

Gd sleeve: Cover in poor condition; seam splits; tears.

Gd record: Surface scratching; back ground noise is obtrusive.
