Led Zeppelin II 2 LP UK Red & Plum late-1970 Original - Complete [Lemon Song]

Description

An original late-1970 copy of Zep II on UK Atlantic Red & Plum. Matrix A2/B5. Please note the labels mention 'Lemon Song' which is often an indicator for the early copies - but it can actually be found on copies many months after 1st release. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original darker-brown [correct for this period] E J Day printed cover. Also included is a 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve from the time. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks either side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Do expect a touch of light static in one or two spots per side - but absolutely nothing invasive or persistent. I detected a couple of ticks in 'RAMBLE' - but little else worthy of note. By and large you will be treated to a very fine and impressive rendition of this ZEP classic.
Cover (Vg) In great shape and has clearly been looked after. Nice and clean front and seems to have escaped most of the usual ageing that afflicts these covers. There's a bit more handling wear on the rear in the top left corner - but it's still respectable. The interior looks great - no issues. Edge wear is relatively light for the most part. The exception to this is the bottom third of the spine where there's a fair bit of heavy scuffing. 'Zeppelin II' is legible no problem, but the catalogue number lower down is starting to get obscured. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Bit of light ageing in places. One 1c.m. bottom edge split.
