Description
Here’s a rare copy of Led Zeppelin II. This is the very FIRST pressing of the album from 1969, which is known as the Robert Ludwig Loud Mix. The initials “RL” and “SS” are in the trailoff on both sides. The labels are marked “MO” which stands for a West Coast pressing by Monarch Recorders. Copies of this album were recalled off store shelves when complaints from buyers rolled in. The music was recorded so loudly onto the disc that cheaper record players of the day couldn’t track the grooves. But, when played on a mid to high end system, this record sounds absolutely awesome. The common pressings of this LP are compressed to death and the sound is muffled. The disc grades VG+, overall clean shiny vinyl, a few scuff lines here and there. Plays great, I heard a bit of surface pops at the fadeout of the song "Thank You" and that's about it. The cover is in decent shape. There’s a spot of wear near the mouth of the jacket on the back (pictured). This is an album that is notorious for showing up completely thrashed, and this is certainly an above average copy.
