Description
NOTE: This specific pressing variation is not something I am particularly familiar with. I have tried to document as best as possible all applicable details, but if anything is unclear, or more details are needed, by all means message me and I will try to provide whatever additional information you need, and add it to the item description. This item is the 1968 first US pressing of Led Zeppelin II, which is also known as the Robert Ludwig "hot pressing" version. This variation is designated by the RL and SS etchings in the side two trail off area. In the photo included here, the RL is completely visible; the "SS" is not as dark, but it is located between the "RL" and TWO on the record label, and looks more like a numeral 8. Additionally, this copy has matrix pressing numbers ending in 1A on both sides, making this a VERY early pressing.
CONDITION: The album sleeve has some light wear, light age discoloration, and a small stain on the back. There is some scraping along the edges, but otherwise there are no creases, seam splits, writing, peel marks, or any other damage.
The record has some (inaudible) age discoloration, and a few VERY light hairline sleeve marks. I've played this several times and the only noticeable damage I've heard was a scratch click during the first 3 or 4 revolutions of side 2. Otherwise there is only some light surface noise, and NOTHING that detracts from the complete enjoyment of this elusive record. The issue number of this item is Atlantic SD 8236.
